
Hot Cross Buns
These tasty treats are perfect warmed up for breakfast, dessert, appetizer or snack. Great idea for the Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons.

- Spray large bowl with cooking spray or grease bowl
- Line 9 X 13 baking dish with parchment paper
- In small saucepan, heat milk over medium-high heat 3 minutes (temp should not be above 110 degrees)
- Whisk in yeast & 1 tbsp sugar; let stand for 5 minutes
- In stand mixer, whisk flour, cinnamon, salt & sugar
- Attach dough hook to mixer; add vanilla, eggs butter & yeast mixture
- Knead dough 3 minutes or until soft & dough come together
- Add raisins; knead dough 1 minute or until incorporated
- On lightly floured work surface, knead dough 1 minute or until smooth & elastic
- Form a ball & place in prepared bowl
- Cover with plastic wrap & let stand in warm place for about 1 hour or until dough has almost doubled in size
- On lightly floured surface, punch down dough; divide dough into 12 equal pieces
- Roll each piece into a ball & place in prepared dish; cover with plascit wrap & let stand for 30 minutes
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees; remove plastic wrap & bake 45 minutes or until golden brown
- In medium bowl; stir in cream cheese & confectionary sugar
- Transfer cream cheese into small zip-top plastic bag. Snip bottom corner of bag
- When buns are cool, pipe cream cheese mixture over buns to create a cross
